After many years in corporate finance and fund management, Noelle founded one of the first ecommerce companies in southern Europe, which she sold in 2013. From there she dove into blockchain research, and hasn’t looked back since. After living, studying and working in four different continents, she now resides in sunny Spain.

Ralph Achkar joined State Street in October 2017. He is a member of the Digital Product Development & Innovation Team (DPDI), based in London. In his current role, Ralph works with businesses across State Street and the market to enable the next generation of capital markets. His work covers areas involving artificial intelligence (AI), digital assets services (tokens, cryptos), and regulatory solutions. Previous responsibilities including Head of Technology for Global Markets Operations, and Global Head of Fund Services Technology in which capacity he was responsible for the design and implementation of the award-winning Middle Office Programme.

Andrew Beckett

Andrew Beckett is a Managing Director and EMEA Leader for Kroll’s Cyber Risk Practice. Andrew began his career at GCHQ where he held a variety of roles including head of the branch responsible for providing cyber security advice to government departments and penetration testing. He also served in the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). This is an International Civil Service organisation operating under the auspices of the UN where Andrew was the first head of the Office of Confidentiality and Security and charged with setting up this team. Andrew went on to run his own commercial consultancies before joining Airbus Defence and Space in the UK as the head of Cyber Defence, a role he filled for five years before joining Kroll. Andrew is a visiting professor of Cyber Security at the University of South Wales.

Philip Brown
Philip Brown is Co-Chief Executive Officer of Clearstream Banking S.A., Co-Chairman of the Clearstream Banking SA Group Executive Management Committee, and Global Head of Client Relations, Network Management and Product Management for Clearstream Group. He moved to his current position from the London office in 2008, where he was General Manager and Headed Client Relations for United Kingdom, Ireland, Nordic and the Americas.
He joined the company in July 2005 after twelve years in the custody and clearing business, in a variety of front office sales and relationship management positions. Prior to joining Clearstream, he spent 7 years at The Bank of New York, latterly as Managing Director and Head of European Sales, 2 years at Morgan Stanley International and 7 years at Barclays PLC. He holds a degree in Banking, Insurance and Finance from University College North Wales, Bangor.

Mike Clarke

Mike Clarke is the Global Product Manager in the Securities Services business at Deutsche Bank. In this role he is responsible for Client and Product solutions in Europe.

As a global product manager, Mike specialises in developing business related analysis in regard to securities trading and post-trading environments, providing product management leadership throughout the clearing & settlement and custody landscape in Europe. Furthermore he is a thought leader in the development of componentized strategies and the provision of bespoke solutions to help enable corporates and institutions globally achieve their post-trade goals.
Mike has over 20 years of financial experience, and at Deutsche Bank, he is instrumental in development of the concept of Smarter custody (http://cib.db.com/insights-and-initiatives/initiatives/smarter-custody-initiative.htm) and the new tools being developed to help clients increase process efficiency and improve data quality to drive value in securities services. Mike Collier brings with him a wealth of Securities Services experience covering all aspects of the post-trade value chain with previous tenures at Euroclear, Cantor Fitzgerald and UBS.

Mike joined Deutsche Bank in 2009, and has held a number of leadership roles in asset servicing operations, market advocacy and his current role Securities Services product management. Within product management, Michael plays a key role in the future roadmap of the custody product and supporting clients in the delivery of both strategic solutions and regulatory compliance.

Mike is continuing his work on driving several European post-trade harmonisation initiatives. In addition to chairing the AFME Post Trade Asset Services Committee, he also participates on behalf of Deutsche Bank on expert working groups such as the Corporate Actions Joint Working Group (CAJWG), Stock Events Working Party (SEWP), UK Market Implementation Group (UK-MIG), European Market Implementation Group (E-MIG), T2S Corporate Action Sub Group (CASG) and the UK Custody Working Group (UK-CWG).

Matthew Cook

As part of the Global Securities Markets team, Matt is responsible for Business and Product Development of SWIFT’s Capital Markets and FX services portfolio in London.

Matt works closely with SWIFT’s key clients and industry bodies, leveraging his extensive banking operational experience to ensure strategic services are developed in partnership with the community and continue to meet the challenges of a today’s rapidly changing, cyber and regulatory focused landscape.

Matt also represents SWIFT’s emerging technologies division (‘INNOTRIBE’) as it relates to Capital Markets. Working directly with Fintech start-ups, established institutions and industry leaders, Matt bridges new concepts and ideas with established thinking and market practices.

Francesco Daglio

Mr. Daglio joined MSCI in London in June 2008 and relocated to Milan in July 2011. After holding various roles within MSCI’s EMEA Client Coverage Department, Mr. Daglio was promoted to Executive Director in January 2015 and was appointed to Country Manager in October 2015.
In this capacity, he leads MSCI’s continued efforts to develop their activity on all four product segments - Analytics, Index, ESG and Real Estate - in Southern & Eastern Europe. His main areas of focus are Financial Risk Governance and Portfolio Benchmarking.

Prior to joining MSCI, Mr. Daglio spent 8 years at Bloomberg where he held multiple Sales Lead positions including Head of Business Development for Italy. Francesco started his professional career at Aritma as macro-economic analyst.

Edwin De Pauw

Edwin De Pauw, Managing Director, is Head of the Data Services and Innovation division at Euroclear SA.
Emerging technologies such as Distributed Ledger Technology, Cloud, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics could be game-changers for the financial services industry. The objective of the division is to seize opportunities created by these new technologies and by the vast amounts of reference and transaction data at Euroclear to address market inefficiencies and to increase transparency and liquidity in view of MiFid II and other regulations.
In this role, he also looks to establish partnerships with clients and Fintech companies to bring relevant innovative solutions to market and to foster collaborative innovation practices across the Euroclear group.

Previously, Edwin was in charge of Product Management Core Custody and Settlement Europe at Euroclear SA. In this capacity, he was responsible for the strategic positioning of Euroclear in the Target2-Securities (T2S) and post-Brexit environment.

Mr De Pauw is actively involved in the harmonisation and standardisation of market practices within Euroclear’s seven domestic CSD markets, as well as further across Europe. He is co-chair of the newly created Shareholders Rights Directive II Industry working group and leading the Shareholders Identification task force as well as the Corporate Actions Joint Working Group and the European Market Implementation Group and he serves as a member of the General Meetings Joint Working Group and the EC Expert group on technical aspects of Corporate Governance processes.

Benjamin Duve

Benjamin Duve has been with Commerzbank since 2007, starting as a relationship manager in Corporate Banking. After his time as a relationship manager in Financial Institutions covering the GCC from Dubai he joined the Custody and Clearing team. He is currently responsible for the institutional Custody globally and has assumed the responsibility for Direct Market Access to further integrate the offerings. Besides these roles he is an Affiliate of the DLT / Blockchain Lab and he is actively involved in many of the securities related POCs that Commerzbank has undertaken through its main incubator.

James Freis

James H. Freis, Jr. is Chief Compliance Officer and Managing Director for the Deutsche Börse Group and also for the Clearstream sub-Group since April 2014, based near Frankfurt, Germany, responsible for overseeing regulatory requirements and engaging with financial supervisors for Group entities on a global basis for this provider of financial market infrastructures.
Mr Freis's career as an attorney began at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York; he spent seven years at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in Basel, Switzerland; returned to the United States to work at the Treasury Department; and also was in private practice at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton advising global financial institutions. From 2007 to 2012, Mr. Freis was Director (CEO) of the U.S. Treasury Department's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), the lead U.S. Government official for anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing requirements, and head of the country's financial intelligence unit (FIU). Mr Freis is a graduate of Georgetown University, earned his Juris Doctor from Harvard University, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
