In addition, Mr. Abel recently led DTCC’s initiative to move to a shorter settlement cycle in the U.S. (T+2). Mr. Abel began his career at DTCC in 1987, and has held a number of Operational and Project related positions.

William Carter is the Deputy Director of the Technology Policy Program at CSIS. His work focuses on international cyber and technology policy issues, including data localization, surveillance and privacy, cyber conflict and deterrence, financial sector cybersecurity, and law enforcement and technology, including encryption. He has spoken at events and conferences around the world, including leading a table-top exercise on cyber-financial crises for the ASEAN regional forum in Singapore in 2015, and he has participated in multiple Track 2 dialogues on cyber and technology policy issues. Before joining CSIS, he worked in the Investment Strategy Group at Goldman Sachs. In this role, he performed research and analysis on geopolitics and the macro economy, and produced reports and presentations on international affairs and current events and their impact on markets. He previously worked at the Council on Foreign Relations and at Caxton Associates, a New York hedge fund. He graduated from New York University with a B.A. in economics.

Ana Giraldo joined Thomas Murray in 2002 and is Director and Head of Risk Products in the Capital Markets Infrastructure team. Ana is responsible for the ongoing development of TM’s risk products and methodologies across the Capital Markets business, as well as leading a number of public ratings and consultancy projects. Ana is a specialist in the Latin American and Eurasian securities markets including trading, clearing and settlement practices. Her role includes maintaining relationships with regulators, clearing houses, central securities depositories, custodian banks and other market players in the different markets of these two regions. Ana is also the vice-chairman of Thomas Murray’s Risk Committee. Ana joined Thomas Murray after she completed her Masters degree in Banking and International Finance in the City University in London. Ana previously worked at Fitch and the Colombia Stock Exchange based in Bogota, Colombia.

Mr. Graham is a current member of SIFMA’s Uncleared Margin Operational Implementation Working Group and a previous member of the Futures Industry Association’s Clearing Committee.

Reina Hauschild is a Vice President and Network Manager at the Northern Trust Company. Through this position, Reina is responsible for overseeing the subcustodian and correspondent banking relationships maintained by Northern Trust in the Western Hemisphere.
Previously, Reina worked within the Treasury Network division at Brown Brothers Harriman overseeing their global network of correspondent and agent banks. She was also in charge of managing the trade finance and FX hedging arrangements for TD Banknorth’s clients prior to her role at BBH.
Reina holds a Master degree in Business Administration from Simmons School of Management in Boston, Massachusetts.

Owen Jelf is a Senior Managing Director at Accenture and leads the company´s Capital Markets business globally. He is responsible for this industry group’s overall vision, strategy and performance. He is also a Managing Director for Accenture Post-Trade Processing and serves as the CEO for Accenture Post-Trade Processing in the UK.

With more than 28 years of experience, he specialises in delivering major technology and business change programmes in the investment banking industry. He has functional expertise in front-office, operations and enterprise functions in complex global delivery models and across a number of asset classes.

Owen Jelf has held a number of leadership positions since joining Accenture in 1988. He led Accenture Trading Services, which helps capital markets clients achieve high performance in trading. He also led Accenture’s Capital Markets business in the UK from 2006-2010, managing relationships with investment banks, asset managers, hedge funds, clearing houses and exchanges.

Marilyn Lipton is the Global Head of the Citi Bank Network Management Group. Marilyn joined Citigroup in 1993 during the Smith Barney Shearson merger. She has over 28 years of experience within the Financial Services industry.

Marilyn, in her capacity as global head, manages the Global ICG Bank Network Management Group (BNM) responsible for maintaining and establishing relationships with service providers and/or banks while developing and maintaining internal controls and negotiating the pricing of our bank accounts, along with the documentation supporting those accounts. She is also responsible for establishing the infrastructure to clear, settle and finance global securities, foreign exchange and derivatives businesses across the ICG Capital Markets.

Emmanuelle Riess is Head of Network Management for the Americas at BNP Paribas Securities Services, based in New York. In this capacity she manages the selection and monitoring of BNP Paribas Securities Services’ network of sub custodians and cash agents in North and South America. Her responsibilities include conducting due diligence visits, monitoring the performance of the agents, acting as an interface between the markets and the Bank, gathering market intelligence, negotiating fees and contracts, and performing operational risk review, among other activities. She is also deputy head of the global network management team, a role she’s held since 2006.
