Martin Paladino has graduated as a lawyer at Buenos Aires University, and holds an MBA degree from Universidad del CEMA .
He joined Caja de Valores, the Argentinean Central Securities Depository in 1999, where he has performed as Settlements Manager since 2006. Prior to that he was the Head of the Legal Department. He has also been appointed as Alternate Director of the Company´s Executive Board.
In 2006 he was elected as Member of the Board of Directors of ANNA, the Association of National Numbering Agencies. He was re-elected in 2009 and 2012, serving as the Association’s Marketing Director for 9 consecutive years. He also performs as the Regional Manager of ALARG, the Regional Group that comprises the Latin American National Numbering Agencies.
Martin has been panelist and participated in different securities-industry-related forums, both in the domestic and international spheres, and is a Post-grade Professor at Buenos Aires University.

He started his career in 1999 with Credit Suisse and after spending five years in London Operations, he moved to Credit Suisse Singapore for four years, where he was the APAC Regional Head of Network Management.

Michael began his career in the securities industry with State Street in 1997 where he held positions in State Street’s Securities Operations division. In 1999, Michael joined Investors Bank and Trust’s Network Management team managed their network of sub custodians throughout Europe. As part of State Street’s acquisition of Investors Bank and Trust in 2007, Michael re-joined State Street’s Global Services division. Michael currently leads the Direct Access Model Service team in Global Process Delivery which is responsible for providing strategic clients with tailored support to their global investment objectives. Michael’s team provides customized information on foreign capital market practices and market investment risk.

Previously, Michael was a Regional Network Head responsible for custody and cash services in the Americas and Europe. He was responsible for the day to day performance of sub custody providers across the region as well as contributing to strategic development projects. His areas of expertise include market research, operational risk review, crisis management, expansion into new markets and relationship management.

Ian Pledger is currently the Regional Head of BNYM Global Network Management Team for the African and Americas region, where he is responsible for managing and maintaining over 50 custody relationships in 25+ Markets, with assets under custody in excess of $30+ Trillion.

Throughout his tenure with BNY Mellon, Ian has held various roles within the organization, most recently as Global Head of Network Management for the Depositary Receipts business. Prior to that he has held several product related positions including the DR Product and Innovation Manager responsible for the global strategy, development, business intelligence and market and product advice. He has a detailed knowledge of global operations during his time as the Operations, Risk, and Control manager, overseeing a team responsible for the daily support of the DR business, cash and stock reconciliations, settlement issues and corporate events including proxies.

Ian has 20+ years’ experience working in the financial industry in London. Before joining BNY Mellon in 2006, Ian maintained an extensive career with JPMorgan Chase where he held various positions such as Globe-clear Operations Manager and Head of the EMEA Depositary Receipt Product Development group.

Ian has earned a CISI Level 3 certificate in investments as well as a UK IR Society Certification. In 2010, he obtained his Lean Six Sigma green belt

Tom is responsible for defining the company’s policy priorities and collaborates closely with internal stakeholder teams to provide strategic direction and advice on government affairs matters. He works closely with the company’s management, communications team, legal, and other stakeholders to develop consistent messages for use with public policy makers, industry bodies, and other key influencers on proposed legislation and related regulatory actions. He is also responsible for the development and execution of advocacy efforts needed to advance selected public policy initiatives. In this capacity, he has served in leadership positions on numerous financial services trade association committees and other coalitions that have helped to shape the Dodd-Frank Wall Street and Consumer Protection Act, federal bankruptcy law, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and various regulatory provisions applicable to financial institutions. Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Tom was a Senior Vice President for Federal Public Policy for HSBC North America Holdings, Inc., and also has experience working on Capitol Hill, for a financial services trade association and law firm specializing in government relations. Tom received his degree from Illinois State University.
