Jonathan Stichbury, ASIP has been the CEO of Sanlam Investments East Africa Ltd (SIEAL) since 2000 and has been an investment professional for over 25 years. (SIEAL was previously branded PineBridge Investments East Africa and before that AIG Investments East Africa. However, in June 2017, PineBridge sold its majority shareholding to the Sanlam Group.)

During Jonathan’s tenure, SIEAL has grown to become one of the largest asset management firms in East Africa. SIEAL’s client base includes local and international pension funds and institutions as well as local retail clients. Jonathan leads a team of over 30 based in offices in Nairobi and Kampala, including 13 investment professionals who invest primarily in listed equities and fixed income assets throughout East and Sub Saharan Africa.

Juanita Taylor is the current chairperson of the South African Securities Lending Association (SASLA) and Head of Standard Bank’s Investor Services Securities Lending business in South Africa. Standard Bank’s Investor Services business is a leading provider of securities lending, custody and related products and services to domestic and foreign institutional investors across fourteen sub-Saharan Africa markets.

Juanita is a seasoned Investor Services professional in South Africa with over 18 years of experience in the securities lending industry. Juanita has played an integral role in the start-up of securities lending in the Nigerian market, she recently presented to the Botswana Stock Exchange and other market participants in Botswana on the mechanics and benefits of securities lending and is also working closely with other African countries in shaping the framework for securities lending

Alex is Head of Bank Sales for Citi’s Securities Services business in EMEA. In this role, Alex brings with him more than 20 years of both buy-and sell-side experience. He is responsible for sales and relationship management of Citi’s DCC business and broader suite of securities services products to global financial institutions including banks, broker-dealers, regional custodians and financial markets infrastructures.
Prior to Citi, Alex was the Co-Head of Network Management at UBS Investment Bank where he launched their network management operations to support their prime brokerage expansion. He started his career at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer as a paralegal in banking & litigation before shifting gears and joining Morgan Stanley where he spent a decade in a variety of roles across Operations and Network Management.

Historically, Dominic was CTO then CEO of SensePost, a penetration testing company founded in 2000 in South Africa. His team of hackers spanned the UK and South Africa.

The team then joined Orange Cyberdefense and did two things - the first was to expand their community of hackers between the UK and South Africa, to encompass the now global teams of hackers within the group.

The second was to change their South African operation from only offering penetration testing to the wider set of managed security services Orange Cyberdefense offers.
