Later, he was involved within multiple hedge funds and broker dealers in alternative asset investing. After, he co-founded a healthcare revenue cycle management company where he learned about Bitcoin and eventually Ethereum.

Cora is the Head of Operations at Investec Asset Management. She joined the firm in April 2010 from Peregrine Capital where she served as their chief financial officer from 2009.
Previously Cora worked as the chief financial officer and chief operating officer at STANLIB for five years, having transferred from Standard Bank where she served as the senior manager in their group tax division from February 2001 to December 2003. Cora began her career at KPMG in 1996 as an articled clerk and later audit manager.
Cora holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree in Accounting, a CTA, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant (SA).

In her private capacity, Tanya is a members of the Vuleka Schools Board, Strate Charity Shares and former Chairman of the Jeppe High School for Girls Association. Vipin joined the Central Depository & Settlement Co. Ltd (CDS) at its inception in 1996 as Systems Manager and was appointed General Manager in July 1997. He was then appointed Managing Director in November 2005. In his capacity as Managing Director of CDS, he also provides consultancy services to African stock exchanges and central depositories. He was the systems vendor’s Project Director in the implementation of trading and depository systems at the Nairobi Stock Exchange (2004/2006), Bank of Ghana (2004), Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (2006), Botswana Stock Exchange (2008/2012), Lusaka Stock Exchange (2008) and Bolsa de Valores de Mocambique (2013). He spearheaded the implementation of an automated trading system at the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange in 2015 and is currently assisting the Lusaka Stock Exchange regarding the replacement of its trading and depository systems.

Ross is a subject matter expert and frequent speaker on international withholding tax. Ross is a key member of the product team at GlobeTax currently developing a global tax relief automation service that will substantially improve tax relief processing for sub-custodians, and CSDs. African Growth Partners advises securities exchanges, capital-markets institutions and regulators on strategy and operations. Recent projects have been in southern and eastern African countries and in Azerbaijan. Tom also works on strategy and capital-raising with fair trade and other companies in UK, Japan, Namibia and Ethiopia, including as Company Secretary for People Tree Fair Trade Group Ltd.
He has been General Manager of the Namibian Stock Exchange at a period of fast growth and then helped set up an investment banking firm that became Nedcapital Namibia. He moved to Ethiopia where he helped an innovative investment firm and led a share offer for a successful new bank.

Ian Pledger is currently the Regional Head of BNYM Global Network Management Team for the African and Americas region, where he is responsible for managing and maintaining over 50 custody relationships in 25+ Markets, with assets under custody in excess of $30+ Trillion.

Throughout his tenure with BNY Mellon, Ian has held various roles within the organization, most recently as Global Head of Network Management for the Depositary Receipts business. Prior to that he has held several product related positions including the DR Product and Innovation Manager responsible for the global strategy, development, business intelligence and market and product advice. He has a detailed knowledge of global operations during his time as the Operations, Risk, and Control manager, overseeing a team responsible for the daily support of the DR business, cash and stock reconciliations, settlement issues and corporate events including proxies.

Ian has 20+ years’ experience working in the financial industry in London. Before joining BNY Mellon in 2006, Ian maintained an extensive career with JPMorgan Chase where he held various positions such as Globe-clear Operations Manager and Head of the EMEA Depositary Receipt Product Development group.

Ian has earned a CISI Level 3 certificate in investments as well as a UK IR Society Certification. In 2010, he obtained his Lean Six Sigma green belt

Rajesh Ramsundhar is the Group Head of Standard Bank’s Investor Services business in sub – Saharan Africa. With over 20 years’ experience in Banking, Rajesh has worked for three financial institutions in South Africa: two local banks and one international bank, predominantly in Securities Services.
Rajesh has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Securities Services industry in the South African market and across other markets in sub-Saharan Africa. Rajesh has held senior managerial positions in various functions within the Securities Service business, including operations, product management, product development and sales.
In addition to the Securities Services business, Rajesh has extensive knowledge and experience in the FX and money market products across sub-Saharan Africa, which he gained through a regional leadership role in FX and money market sales at an international bank.
During his tenure at Standard Bank, Rajesh has held senior leadership positions in the Investor Services business, including head of sales, head of product management and head of Standard Bank’s Investor Services business in the rest of Africa.
Rajesh is a bachelor of Commerce graduate from the University of Witwatersrand, an MBA graduate from the Gordon Institute of Business Science, and has a passion for Finance and Economics in developing and frontier markets.

Stuart Roy is a Vice President and senior member of Northern Trust’s Network Management team based in London. Stuart has broad experience of the markets across the EMEA region and is currently responsible for the sub-Sahara region. He has worked within the securities services industry since 1996. Beginning with the consultancy Thomas Murray Data Services, he then moved to the custodian environment with Citi, HSBC and since 2014 with Northern Trust.

Over the span of his career, Terence has held a number of risk management positions within financial market environments in the banking, insurance, consulting and financial market infrastructure sectors.

He has vast knowledge and insights on a range of asset classes having held responsibilities for risk management of equity, interest rate, precious and base metal, agricultural and foreign exchange products. In his various roles he has focused on market, liquidity, credit and counterparty-credit risks and economic and regulatory capital calculation and allocation.
