Rose Mambo is the Chief Executive at CDSC and is responsible for strategic leadership of the corporation and corporate governance. She has steered the company to achieve a number of key milestones including a T+3 settlement cycle, full dematerialization of the market, several large successful IPOs, and improved efficiency and risk management in the settlement function of the corporation with a Guarantee Fund value that has grown over five times since she joined CDSC in 2007. Under her stewardship, CDSC has grown to accommodate over 2 million CDS accounts, while the company’s financial performance has significantly improved with profit before tax growing fourteen times whilst net assets increased four times from their respective levels in 2007. With her leadership, CDSC has transitioned to a brand that is more customer centric in product and service offering, and is successfully managing the Register of the M- Akiba bond, a pioneer mobile bond in the world.

Recent projects have been in southern and eastern African countries and in Azerbaijan. Tom also works on strategy and capital-raising with fair trade and other companies in UK, Japan, Namibia and Ethiopia, including as Company Secretary for People Tree Fair Trade Group Ltd.
He has been General Manager of the Namibian Stock Exchange at a period of fast growth and then helped set up an investment banking firm that became Nedcapital Namibia. He moved to Ethiopia where he helped an innovative investment firm and led a share offer for a successful new bank.

Mr. Paul Murithi Muthaura has been leading the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) of Kenya since July 2012. In this period, the CMA has been recognized as the Most Innovative Capital Markets Regulator in Africa for four consecutive years from 2015-18. CMA was also been recognized for its outstanding contribution to Capital Markets Stability in Africa in 2018.
Mr. Muthaura is a member of the Board of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) and the Chairman of the Africa and Middle East Regional Committee (AMERC) of IOSCO. He is also the Chairman of the Consultative Committee of the East African Securities Regulatory Authorities (EASRA). At the national level he sits on the boards of the Insurance and Pensions regulator as well as the Vision 2030 Delivery Board.
Paul has previously worked as an Emerging Markets Advisor with the General Secretariat of IOSCO and as a senior commercial associate with the law firm of Daly and Figgis Advocates. In his time with the CMA he has held the positions of Head of Legal Framework, Head of Enforcement and Director, Regulatory Policy and Strategy.
Mr. Muthaura is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya. He is the holder of an LLB from the University of Warwick, LLM in Banking and Finance Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science and MPhil from the Maastricht School of Management.
In December 2017, Mr. Muthaura was awarded the National Honour of the Order of the Moran of the Burning Spear (MBS), by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Kenya for his services to the development, deepening and reform of the capital markets in Kenya.

Hannah began her career at JPMorgan Chase Bank in 2007 as a Training Consultant before becoming a Risk Manager in March 2011 and a Market & Infrastructure Manager in June 2018.

In her last 2 years as a Risk Manager she specifically covered network risk and travelled with the market managers on their various due diligences. This experience enabled a natural move into her current role where she covers the various markets in Sub Saharan Africa.

Hannah’s technical expertise and experience is supported by various industry qualifications including the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment, Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and Chartered Management Institute. She is currently completing an MBA in Senior Leadership to graduate in 2020.

She has spent several years as a keen volunteer for various charities both locally and in Africa and was part of the JPMorgan Service Corps to Detroit. Hannah is also a trustee on a board for a charity called Re-Cycle who send bikes to Africa.

Rajesh Ramsundhar is the Group Head of Standard Bank’s Investor Services business in sub – Saharan Africa. With over 20 years’ experience in Banking, Rajesh has worked for three financial institutions in South Africa: two local banks and one international bank, predominantly in Securities Services.
Rajesh has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Securities Services industry in the South African market and across other markets in sub-Saharan Africa. Rajesh has held senior managerial positions in various functions within the Securities Service business, including operations, product management, product development and sales.
In addition to the Securities Services business, Rajesh has extensive knowledge and experience in the FX and money market products across sub-Saharan Africa, which he gained through a regional leadership role in FX and money market sales at an international bank.
During his tenure at Standard Bank, Rajesh has held senior leadership positions in the Investor Services business, including head of sales, head of product management and head of Standard Bank’s Investor Services business in the rest of Africa.
Rajesh is a bachelor of Commerce graduate from the University of Witwatersrand, an MBA graduate from the Gordon Institute of Business Science, and has a passion for Finance and Economics in developing and frontier markets.

Over the span of his career, Terence has held a number of risk management positions within financial market environments in the banking, insurance, consulting and financial market infrastructure sectors.

He has vast knowledge and insights on a range of asset classes having held responsibilities for risk management of equity, interest rate, precious and base metal, agricultural and foreign exchange products. He was the Vice President of the Ghana Securities Industry Association (GSIA) and presently, the Chairman of the Board of the Ghana Investments and Securities Institute (GISI) as well as the Chairman for the West African Securities Regulatory Association (WASRA). With more than 25 years of experience across the capital markets industry, Gunsel works closely with stock exchanges, central counterparty clearing Houses (CCPs), central securities depositories (CSDs), and regulatory institutions as part of the regional capital market development and implementation of best practices.
